Buenos Aires

Hey Everybody, We´ve got ourselves a little apartment in the Palermo SOHO barrio of Buenos Aires. So I would say we got more than a little stuck here. Its been great so far, gives us much more room to spread out and explore the city. Still plenty to see but we must look like we fit in because the other day a police man asked me for directions. Luckily he was looking for the street our last hostel was on and we were two blocks away so I was able to help the guy out. Thought we would post a few shots of our new place and of the city.
Futbol, Flamenco, Vino, Tango, a little shopping.
Its a helluva town and your all welcome to crash on the futon. Chao.

Buenos Aires

Apparently Buenos Aires is known as the sexy city. I don't quite understand how a city can be called sexy but I suppose if there is a sexy city Buenos Aires is it. We've been here a week and have only scratched the surface. We have managed to check out a ton of stores though where I have gone "bonkers" as Sam likes to say. The prices are so good though!

We've also checked out the botanical garden that is overflowing with feline fuzzies. Needless to say I went a little crazy, spending a couple hours running around, ignoring the gardens and petting as many cats as I possibly could. Definitely a high light of Buenos Aires. We've also checked out the famous cemetery in the Recoleta where Eva Peron is buried, which is also crawling with gatitos. In fact Buenos Aires has an amazing number of well fed cats that just roam the streets.

We've also been dabbling in the night life here, CRAZY is really the only word to describe it. We're loving Buenos Aires and Argentina in general. Its such a terrific change of pace from Bolivia and we don't get stared at! Have I mentioned the wine is incredible and so cheap. Can't help but get a bottle every time we go out to dinner. And the steaks are divine! We are still planning on heading to Patagonia, but we seem a little stuck at the moment. We've made some friends and Buenos Aires is a great place to relax and take in the city life. Besides the longer we wait the better weather we'll have down south.
